It has a tracking number and can contain more albums/items.

And there is this new option, “K-Packet”.

Also it arrives earlier (3-7 business days) but if you want to go for cheaper price, EMS is not the way to go! But please note that Registered Air Mail is only possible if you’re buying around 1~4 albums from Kpoptown depending on the weight(?), otherwise it will be EMS.ĮDIT: There has been an update on the rates of Korea Post applicable since Jso there could be slight changes in shipping fee. Though, in EMS, your package might arrive at your door (if it is small and did not get stuck at customs). But I don’t really recommend EMS because it’s extremely EXPENSIVE and can get stuck at customs so you’ll still pick it up from the Pasay office. It costs a little more than the UNREGISTERED packet which doesn’t have a tracking number but cost very much less than EMS which also has a tracking number. I STRONGLY ADVICE YOU CHOOSE this on your purchase because it comes with a tracking number which is VERY IMPORTANT AND HELPFUL on claiming your package from PHLPOST.

:))įirst thing you need to do is to check and compare prices from the different stores of the album/merch you want to buy. So I hope I can help people like me this time. Most of the blogs available online are very limited, some are even outdated (at least 2 years old) and doesn’t talk about the PhlPost process. I, myself, experience being lost, being confused and upset during my first purchase because I don’t have any idea what to do and there’s no one I can ask. (Also I'm just particularly happy that they're the reason I own a signed copy of my first fave's debut album, haha).H i~ I wrote this blog in order to help other Filipino Kpop fans who lack the know-hows. I've enjoyed using it occasionally for the few groups I really want to show support for, cause I'd certainly never get the opportunity otherwise to get signed stuff/special merchandise. Normally I buy the ~20/30 dollar option, which usually has a signed CD and something. I think the most I spent was on Berry Good's campaign, followed by Minzy's, but they were exceptions. The options can get into really expensive territory but they include things like fanmeetings, having lunch with the band, etc, so they're irrelevant for me, haha. Any thank you messages/etc will be in Korean 99% of the time though (I got a good morning message in my Berry Good package). It's definitely aimed at international fans but there are clearly options for really dedicated fans in SK. The site only has options for English, Korean, Japanese & Chinese browsing. It ships internationally - and looking at the lists of 'honorary producers' in my CD's, it's a very clearly mix of nationality, not just American/European.
