Interestingly enough, some authorities believe Matthew 24:30 is not only about the sign of the Son of Man being seen, but the Rapture as well. Stewart was expecting a pre-Tribulation Rapture. Will this occur on December 25, 2034? Despite the year given by Toth and the complete date with the same year provided by Stewart, we can't be sure. What other SYMBOL or SIGN could be associated with Jesus Christ other than the Cross? What event would cause "the tribes of the earth to mourn" when they see His sign if not THE CRUCIFIXION? An apparition of Christ on the Cross perhaps? There may be future symbols associated with Christ, but the only one we know about right now is THE CROSS. That would suggest a symbol or an apparition, one that would almost certainly include the CROSS. What is important in this verse of Matthew is the phrase "the sign of the Son of Man." THE SIGN. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. There is Biblical evidence that "A sign of the Messiah's appearance will be emblazoned in the sky." We find that evidence in the Book of Matthew: It can be very dangerous to mix two prophecies dated to the same year. The author seemed unsure that The Rapture would be that late, so I speculated he may have instead calculated the event in the heavens predicted by Max Toth for 2034.
I likely came across this site back in 1999 or 2000 and, knowing what Max Toth had predicted, concluded the dates "2034" and "December 25, 2034" were referencing the same event. Does this mean that December 25th 2034 AD (Gregorian) is the date of the Pre-Tribulational Rapture? We hope not, because it would be much more agreeable to be raptured now, instead of 34 years hence!"
